Who you would be dealing with

A family business, in these towns, since 1989

Colonial Landscaping & Masonry has been working in Putnam and northern Westchester for 37+ years. It is family-owned and run by Joe Galeno. The yard is at 45 Sprout Brook Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 — which is where the trucks go out from every morning and come back to every night.

What that length of time actually buys you is not a slogan. It is that a good deal of the work now is going back to properties we built the first time, which is a strong incentive to build them properly. It is also that we have seen what the ground here does: the till, the ledge, the Woodbridge loams that hold water all spring, the walls that lean in their fourth winter because somebody skipped the drainage stone.

We run our own crews — around twenty-five people — rather than subcontracting the work out, which means the person who quotes the job and the people who build it work for the same company. The snow side has been running just as long, including long-standing commercial relationships with facilities that cannot close when it snows.

We are fully insured for residential and commercial work, and every estimate is written. If we think what you are asking for is the wrong solution to your problem, we will say so before we quote it rather than after we have built it.
